Writing tasks benefit from AI assistance, but switching to dedicated writing tools breaks workflow. AI Writer provides seamless, context-aware writing help directly within the apps users are already using.

How It Works

AI Writer uses OnePlus AI's language models to help users write and refine text. The feature can generate text from prompts, rewrite existing text, adjust tone and style, and provide grammar suggestions. It is integrated into the keyboard and various apps, providing AI writing assistance wherever text input is needed.

Everyday Use Cases

• Rewrite an email to sound more professional
• Generate content from a brief prompt
• Adjust tone for formal or casual communication
• Fix grammar and spelling
• Shorten or expand text content

User Workflow

• Select text or type a prompt in any supported app on a OnePlus device
• Tap the AI Writer icon in the keyboard toolbar
• Choose an action: Rewrite, Expand, Shorten, or Tone Adjust
• Review the AI-generated suggestion
• Accept or edit the suggestion
• Insert the final text

AI Processing Flow

On-device language model processes text using the NPU for privacy-sensitive tasks. More complex generation may use cloud-based AI models. User data is encrypted in transit.
