How It Works

AI Translation uses cloud-based neural machine translation models to provide real-time speech-to-speech translation. On OnePlus devices, it integrates with the OnePlus AI platform, while on Lenovo devices it uses Lenovo AI Now. The feature captures audio from both parties, transcribes it, translates it, and speaks the translated text. The feature supports 12 languages at launch.

User Workflow

• Open the Phone app and start a call
• Tap the AI Translation button
• Select both languages
• Speak naturally -- the app translates and speaks the other person's language in real-time
