AI Summary

AI Summary uses on-device AI to automatically condense articles, documents, and notifications into concise key points on HyperOS and Lenovo devices.

Why It Exists

Users need to quickly understand long content without reading every word, especially for news articles, documents, and meeting notes.

How It Works

AI Summary is HyperOS AI's intelligent summarization feature that condenses long-form content into concise key points. Using on-device AI models and optional cloud processing, the system analyzes articles, documents, notifications, and meeting recordings to extract the most important information. The summary is presented as a digest with key topics, action items, and highlights. AI Summary integrates with Xiaomi's browser, email app, Mi Messages, and third-party apps.

Everyday Use Cases

  • Article summarization
  • Document key points
  • Notification digests
  • Meeting summaries
  • News highlights
  • Content scanning
  • Quick overviews

User Workflow

  • User opens content in a supported app
  • AI Summary analyzes the full text
  • System identifies key topics and action items
  • Summary is displayed as digest or bullets
  • User can tap for full content

AI Processing Flow

Text content is processed by on-device AI models for initial analysis. Article and document length determine whether on-device or cloud processing is used. Cloud summarization uses servers with end-to-end encryption. Key point extraction uses natural language processing. Action items are identified through intent recognition.
