Photos often contain unwanted elements that detract from the main subject. Smart Eraser provides a simple, one-touch solution to remove distractions and improve photo quality without complex editing skills.

How It Works

Smart Eraser uses OnePlus AI's on-device computer vision models to detect and remove unwanted objects from photos. The feature can identify and eliminate photobombers, blemishes, watermarks, or other unwanted elements, then intelligently reconstructs the background to seamlessly fill the removed area. It works on photos in the Gallery app and supports various types of objects.

User Workflow

• Open Gallery app on a OnePlus device
• Select a photo

AI Processing Flow

On-device computer vision model detects object boundaries and reconstructs background using the NPU. Inpainting algorithms fill in the removed area based on surrounding context.
