Why It Exists

Physical telephoto lenses have limited zoom range. When users need to zoom beyond the optical range, image quality degrades significantly. AI Super Zoom uses AI to recover detail and maintain image quality at higher zoom levels.

How It Works

AI Super Zoom uses MagicOS AI's on-device deep learning models to enhance digital zoom quality. The feature applies AI-powered super-resolution techniques to compensate for the loss of detail when zooming in beyond the optical zoom range. It can produce usable results at zoom levels that would otherwise be pixelated or blurry.

AI Processing Flow

On-device super-resolution neural network processes the zoomed image using the NPU, reconstructing detail from patterns learned during training. Processing is local for privacy.
