Language barriers prevent seamless international communication during phone calls. Traditional interpretation requires a human operator or pre-scheduled setup. AI Call Assistant provides on-demand, real-time translation without any pre-planning.

How It Works

AI Call Assistant uses MagicOS AI's on-device and cloud-based speech recognition models to provide real-time voice translation during phone calls. The feature captures audio from both sides of the conversation, transcribes it, translates it, and speaks the translated audio to each party. It supports multiple languages and works across international calling scenarios, making cross-language communication seamless.

User Workflow

• Open the Phone app or enable AI Call Assistant in settings
• Dial or receive a call
• Select the languages for both parties

• After the call, a transcript is available

AI Processing Flow

On-device speech recognition for wake word and activation, then cloud-based neural machine translation for real-time speech-to-speech conversion. Audio is encrypted in transit.
