Note Assist
Samsung Galaxy Note Assist uses Galaxy AI to reformat text, summarize content, and create structured notes from unstructured input.
Why It Exists
Users need to quickly organize meeting notes, research materials, and documents without manual formatting and summarization effort.
How It Works
Galaxy Note Assist is Samsung's AI-powered text processing tool that transforms unstructured text into organized, structured notes. Using on-device NPU processing combined with Samsung Cloud, it can rewrite text in different formats, summarize long documents, extract key points, and generate formatted notes. The system supports multiple writing styles, from formal reports to casual summaries, and integrates with Samsung Notes and other productivity apps.
Everyday Use Cases

- System offers summary, rewrite, and formatting options
- User selects preferred output style
- Formatted note is saved to Samsung Notes
AI Processing Flow
Text is analyzed by on-device NPU language models for initial analysis and key point extraction. Longer documents are sent to cloud-based LLMs for summarization with user approval. Formatting rules are applied using on-device templates. Samsung Cloud syncs notes encrypted and syncs across devices. All text stays encrypted and is not stored beyond processing.
